Zennstrom Steps Down at Skype, Service Tanks?

CEO Zennstrom has stepped down from his position at Skype. It's been blogged everywhere. At the same time, I've been having multiple problems with Skype's service for the past couple of days. Calls keep getting dropped and video is a nightmare, to the extent that Skype for me is almost unusable as of yesterday. Even switching to chat functionality didn't help the situation as I kept getting logged off and was not able to send IM's. I obviously presume this is not connected but it was an interesting bit of information right at a time when I had a bunch of WTF moments in regards to Skype. As someone who is fond of Skype, I really hope eBay doesn't now let it go to shit. After having spent so much money on it, I couldn't imagine it being a smart move to re-jigger internally to remove resources from it and in this was salvage anything from an expensive acquisition.
