Shai Agassi is now pumping gas for a living!

OK, this is the coolest career move I can imagine. Almost having been the CEO of SAP to pumping gas. Well, not really. It 's a much grander scheme and doesn't have to do with gas whatsoever.....quite the contraty. Shai's out to build out a network of pumping or more precisely recharging stations for electric vehicles (with 200 million in his pocket). The New York Times has more details if you want to see who had the deep pockets. And to think, when I was growing up it was a bad thing when people told me "be careful, or you'll end up pumping gas when you grow up".

As good as this idea looks on paper, I am convinced that this will be a tough sell initially to the greater public. It'll take a lot more than 200 million to execute on this but who knows, Shai is super smart and might just pull this off. If nothing else the career move gives me a good headline and I give him credit for taking on the challenge. Better than sitting on a beach counting your cash.
