Saturdays at the Car Wash

I'm sitting right now in the long line at the car wash. It's a sunny day and it seems like everyone is out washing the car. One way or another, it's 20 minutes or so that you sit here and wait. The funny thing is that everyone around me is in their car staring down at their laps. No, they are not all that fond of their laps. It seems the whole line is tapping out messages on their phones. Be it SMS's, emails or blog posts like I am.

I kind of miss the good ol' days when you stood outside of your car with the other people talking shop. Given you only complimented each other on cars and asked about horsepower, etc. but still. Somehow everyone is so detached. It's too sunny outside to be sitting here writing a blog post. I'm going to go compliment the Smart driver in front of me how cool it is that he can park anywhere he wants. Happy Weekend!
