Palo Alto OpenCoffee
I managed to get over to the OpenCoffee event in Palo Alto while in town this week. Although not the spectacular turn out being reported in the UK and elsewhere, it still was a great opportunity and I'd like to see this continue. Actually, my goal is to try and replicate it in Germany. (Details to come)
Thanks go to Keith Teare for taking the initiative and getting this started in Palo Alto. It was a great opportunity to sit together and discuss some basic ideas surrounding venture capital and the US/Europe "bridge". Knowing that such events are happening in certain locales where I often travel excites me because it gives me a venue to pop in somewhere and informally meet a bunch of people who are as geeky as I am about the venture business. It was a pleasure to also meet Peter from WebKitchen ltd and Mark from formsPlayer. I do apologize to the other individuals whose names I did not catch. Keith, best of luck in the future keeping this going and I hope to be able to participate again next time around.
