Is it just me? Air travel
Have you noticed how much quicker you can board and de-board a plane lately. As much as I hate all the safety regulations, especially the foolish new rules regarding liquids, I can't but help to say it's had a positive effect. You finally don't have all those folks bringing on luggage which should otherwise be checked in. I've been on planes quite a bit the past couple of months and it really is very nice to be able to get on the plane quicker and not have to fight past people trying to fit a suitcase which wouldn't fit well into a minivan up into the hold. This is another of those little things which makes me ask whether there isn't an alterior motive such as this behind all these new regulations. Notice how you still can't use the cellphone in the plane.? Well, I don't know about you, but for me it would be utter hell in a plane if everyone was gabbing on their cellphone. Hence, the foolish excuse that a cellphone could interfere with the plane's electronics, actually has a very good side effect. Same is the case now with carry-on regulations. If they could only ban people somehow from taking their shoes off if their feet stink or manage to somehow keep crying babies quiet, I'd be in heaven (when up in the heavens).
