iPhone Envy
This damn thing is a drug. I've actually walked into the Apple Store on University Ave. in Palo Alto twice already in less than a week and went into the S.F. Apple store while there for meetings to fondle it. I hate the damn phone being so hyped but I just have to admit it's really cool, especially after having device envy when seeing someone on an elevator next to me with it. I had to start up a conversation and this guy really did like his iPhone. My biggest fear was not being able to get at corporate e-mail with the thing but he showed me a third-party app which allowed him to get at his exchange server. I'm sold (well, only if the device comes out in Europe with 3G capability). Were the US model 3G capable I would have surely been "sucked/drawn/wallet-locked" into the store to purchase the thing, even if all common sense says to wait for at least the second iteration. It's going to be a long, hard wait until the European launch and if it isn't 3G capable, it really will be a major buzz kill. I am holding off on any new phone purchase for now (let's hope it's only a couple of months) but if it doesn't come out with 3G, I will have to get something else as the T-Mobile Vario II just ain't doing it for me anymore. It's too slow, too big, and the battery life just plain sucks!
